3 Easy Steps Cameo Silhouette Application For Heat Transfer Pu Vinyl
Step 1 - CUT
1 Select a design and lay it out at the Silhouette Studio software.
Remember to MIRROR the image.
2 Feed the heat transfer sheet into the Silhouette Cameo Cutter with the glossy side down.
2.1 Select “LOAD CUTTING MAT” at the Silhouette Cameo Cutter if you feed the heat transfer sheet with a cutting mat.
2.2 Select “LOAD MEDIA” at the Silhouette Cameo Cutter if you feed the heat transfer sheet without a cutting mat.
3 Change the cutting setting as following:
CUTTING APPLICATION: Number of Blade 3 ~ 4, Cutting Speed 8 ~ 10, Thickness Setting 8 ~ 10
Recommend to use “TEST CUT” function of your cutting plotter which cuts a small square with a triangle on your paper to ensure a clean cut for your design.
Step 2 - PEEL
4. Peel off the unwanted parts, starting at the corner and leave only the design you want to transfer on the plastic transfer sheet.
Step 3 - PRESS
5. Transferring By Hand Iron: Preheat iron to the cotton / linen setting for 5 minutes.
Transferring By Heat Press: Preheat heat press machine at 150 ~ 160°C for medium pressure.
6. Then, briefly heat the desired field of fabric for 3 ~ 5 seconds to get rid of any wrinkles.
Ensure the surface of the garments is clean, dry and wrinkle free.
7. Position the heat transfer sheet onto the garment with the image facing downwards. Your image is right – reading at this point. Avoid placing near seams, buttons, zippers and etc.
8. Apply heat process on the PU Vinyl, remember to place a teflon sheet cover over the heat transfer sheet before pressing.
8.1 Transferring By Hand Iron: Place a heated iron on top with FIRM STEADY PRESSURE for 20 ~ 30 seconds.
8.2 Transferring By Heat Press: Press at 150 ~ 160°C using medium pressure for 10 ~ 15 seconds.
9. Gently peel the heat transfer sheet when it is warm or cold. Repear the step 8 if the heat transfer sheet continues to stick to plastic transfer sheet.
